Kongousho Koshirae Iaito!
A Piece of Buddhist History!
The Kongousho Koshirae Iaito introduces both a unique hamon and the beautiful religious symbols of buddhism to offer a unique Japanese experience. Symbols that were once used as weapons, and have since become symbols of peace and harmony, and now they grace this beautiful Iaito.
The asymmetric menuki set of tokkousho and sankoushou represent ancient weapons that in modern times have become buddhist symbols. This motif is also carried through into the Tsuba, and beautifully compliments the coarse brushed silver of the Kyo-Tensho Fuchi and Kashira. In addition to the more common Suguha Hamon, the Kongousho Koshirae introduces the Kunitsuna Hamon, a beautiful and unique feature that further sets this Iaito apart from the crowd! Saya choices include Ishime, Kuroro, or Chaishime.
