Niten Ichi-Ryu!

Based on the traditional style of Miyamoto Musashi's niten ichi-ryu, (dual handed iaito fighting technique); the Musashi Koshirae features the best in Musashi styling and accessories. Dubbed the "sword saint" of Japan, Musashi's traditional techniques, theory and style are recognized world wide. Namako Sukashi is the well known musashi style tsuba, represented by two sea cucumbers, with a tapered and antique finish. The Namako Suakashi tsuba includes golden seppa and an inlayed golden hachi (bee) menuki to match. The fuchi/kashira are finely textured musashi style accessories, finished in black. The saya is available in only one choice; the elegant Cha-urumi (glossy brown) lacquer. We chose 100% cotton wrapping in black, over black rayskin with one hamon - the stunning kaneshige (signature hamon).

We have limited the choice of custom options, thus allowing for quick delivery (4 - 8 weeks crafting time) However, despite the greatly reduced crafting time, there are no compromises - we guarantee Aoi quality.

Sand-cast Flex Resistant Zinc Aluminum Alloy Blade

Sand-casted blades are among the most widely used blades in Iaito. At approximately 800g, the sand-casted blade is very well balanced, with the balance point being near the tsuba as opposed to it being near the tip of the iaito.
